Summary

CVE-2024-9657 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Elementor Addons plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in Header Footer, Template Library, Dynamic Grid & Carousel, and Remote Arrows modules, allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the 'tooltip' parameter. Successful exploitation results in the execution of arbitrary web scripts whenever a user visits an injected page.
