Summary

CVE-2024-9386 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Exclusive Divi – Divi Preloader, Modules for Divi & Extra Theme plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 1.4, allows authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to upload malicious SVG files. The plugin fails to sufficiently sanitize and escape input, enabling attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that will execute whenever a user accesses the infected SVG file.
