Summary

CVE-2024-9192 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the WordPress Video Robot plugin, specifically the wpvr_rate_request_result() function. In all versions up to and including 1.20.0, this function fails to adequately validate user meta data. This issue allows authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher to manipulate their user meta, ultimately gaining administrator capabilities and compromising the WordPress site.
