Summary

CVE-2024-7588 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Gutenberg Blocks, Page Builder – ComboBlocks plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the Accordion block, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts into pages. These scripts will be executed whenever an infected page is accessed, posing a significant security risk. The vulnerability impacts all versions of the plugin up to and including 2.2.87.
