Summary

CVE-2024-7317 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Folders – Unlimited Folders to Organize Media Library plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in versions up to 3.0.3, allows authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access or higher, to inject malicious web scripts into SVG files. When users access these infected files, the injected scripts will execute, potentially leading to unintended actions such as account takeover or data theft. The root cause of this vulnerability is insufficient input sanitization and output escaping during SVG file uploads.
