CVE-2024-6691

Summary

CVE-2024-6691 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Easy Digital Downloads plugin for WordPress, versions up to 3.3.2. This issue stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the handling of currency values. Authenticated attackers, particularly those with administrator-level access, can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Consequentially, these scripts will execute whenever an unsuspecting user accesses an injected page. Notably, this vulnerability only impacts multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been explicitly disabled.
