Summary

CVE-2024-5607 is a vulnerability affecting the GDPR CCPA Compliance & Cookie Consent Banner plugin for WordPress. This issue arises from a missing capability check on several functions named ajaxUpdateSettings(), found in all versions up to and including 2.7.0. The consequence of this oversight is that authenticated attackers, with a Subscriber-level access or higher, can manipulate the plugin's settings, alter page content, dispatch arbitrary emails, and inject malicious web scripts.
