Summary

CVE-2024-5418 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the DethemeKit For Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.1.4, arises due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the plugin's De Product Tab & Slide widget. Authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary web scripts, which will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This poses a significant risk, as attackers may manipulate web content to steal sensitive information or launch further attacks. It is crucial that users upgrade to the latest version of the plugin to mitigate this threat.
