Summary

CVE-2024-5403 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting ASKEY 5G NR Small Cells. This issue allows remote attackers with administrator privileges to execute arbitrary system commands on the affected server. The vulnerability stems from a failure on the part of the Small Cell to properly filter user input for certain functionality, opening the door for malicious commands to be executed. Successful exploitation could result in significant unintended consequences, including data theft, unauthorized access, or system crashes. ASKEY is strongly encouraged to apply the forthcoming patch to mitigate this risk.
