Summary
CVE-2024-5272 is a vulnerability affecting Mattermost versions 9.5.x up to 9.5.3, 9.6.x up to 9.6.1, and 8.1.x up to 8.1.12. This issue arises from the failure to restrict the audience of the "custom_playbooks_playbook_run_updated" webhook event. Consequently, guests on channels with linked playbook runs can access detailed information of finished playbook runs, potentially leading to unintended exposure of sensitive data.
