Summary

CVE-2024-5201 is a newly identified privilege escalation vulnerability in OpenText Dimensions RM. An authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability by making an HTTP request and successfully escalate their privileges, gaining the permissions of another user within the system. This issue poses a significant risk as it allows unauthorized access to sensitive information or system functions. To mitigate this vulnerability, OpenText is advised to issue a patch as soon as possible. In the meantime, users are encouraged to apply the highest level of access control and monitor their systems closely for any suspicious activity.
