Summary
CVE-2024-50136: A vulnerability was identified in the Linux kernel's net/mlx5 module. Upon initial failure during eswitch initialization, the notifier is not properly unregistered. Subsequent attempts to enable the eswitch could result in unwarranted warnings, as shown in the call trace. This issue may lead to unnecessary system resources being consumed and potential distractions for system administrators. The vulnerability has been resolved in the latest kernel version.
