Summary
[1] CVE-2024-50122: In the Linux kernel, a race condition exist between PCI device rescanning and host controller probe functions. This issue, introduced after adding PCI power control code, could result in two incompletely added devices, leading to an undefined state and a kernel NULL pointer dereference. The vulnerability can be triggered when attempting to remove a device through sysfs, resulting in a crash. Functions involved include kernfs_find_ns, sysfs_remove_bin_file, and pci_stop_bus_device.
