Summary

CVE-2024-4849 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability affecting the WordPress Automatic Plugin up to version 3.94.0. This issue allows authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. The flaw stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the ‘autoplay’ parameter. Successful exploitation results in the execution of injected scripts whenever a user accesses an affected page.
