Summary

CVE-2024-48336 is a vulnerability affecting the ProviderInstaller.java function of the Magisk App before version 27007. This issue allows a local, untrusted application to execute arbitrary code silently within the Magisk app, ultimately escalating privileges to root. The install() function fails to verify the Google Mobile Services (GMS) app prior to loading it, providing an exploit vector for a crafted package. No user interaction is required for successful exploitation.
