Summary

CVE-2024-4491 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting Tenda i21 devices running firmware version 1.0.0.14(4656). The issue lies in the function formGetDiagnoseInfo, which is susceptible to a stack-based buffer overflow. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the cmdinput argument, allowing them to execute arbitrary code remotely. The exploit for this vulnerability, identified as VDB-263080, has been made public, increasing the risk for potential attacks. Despite being contacted early about the disclosure, the vendor has not responded.
