Summary

CVE-2024-42469 is a vulnerability affecting the open-source home automation software, openHAB. Specifically, the issue lies within the CometVisu visualization add-on, which contains unauthenticated file system endpoints and is susceptible to path traversal. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by overwriting existing files on the openHAB instance, including shell scripts.
