Summary
CVE-2024-41808 is a vulnerability affecting the OpenObserve open-source observability platform. Versions up to 0.9.1 of the platform allow for account takeover due to a lack of input sanitization in the filter selection menu. Malicious users can exploit this vulnerability by injecting malicious scripts, potentially gaining unauthorized access to any victim's account. The platform's front-end, which typically employs `DOMPurify` or Vue templating for XSS protection, fails to secure certain areas. No patched version is currently available.
