Summary
CVE-2024-4171 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting Tenda W30E routers running firmware 1.0/1.0.1.25. The issue lies within the fromWizardHandle function of the /goform/WizardHandle file, where an attacker can exploit a stack-based buffer overflow by manipulating the argument PPW. This vulnerability enables remote attacks, and the exploit has already been made public. Unfortunately, the vendor, Tenda, has not responded to the disclosure, leaving affected devices potentially vulnerable.
