Summary

CVE-2024-4064 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda AC8 model with firmware version 16.03.34.09. This issue lies in the R7WebsSecurityHandler function of the /goform/execCommand file, where a stack-based buffer overflow occurs due to manipulation of the argument password. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely, and the exploit has been made public. The identifier VDB-261790 has been assigned to this issue. Unfortunately, the vendor was not responsive when contacted about the disclosure.
