Summary

CVE-2024-3705 is a newly identified vulnerability affecting OpenGnsys version 1.1.1d (Espeto). This issue involves an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in the 'M_Icons.php' endpoint of the OpenGnsys software. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a maliciously crafted POST request, manipulating the file extension during the upload process. Due to the lack of file extension verification, the server incorrectly processes the file as an image, allowing an attacker to inject a webshell, potentially gaining unauthorized access to the system.
