Summary

CVE-2024-3565 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Content Blocks plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 3.3.0, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the 'content_block' shortcode. Consequently, any pages containing an injected shortcode will execute the malicious scripts whenever a user accesses them.
