Summary

CVE-2024-3460 is a vulnerability affecting KioWare for Windows, versions up to 8.34. This issue allows users to exit the software and access other applications with a brief window before automatic logout. By utilizing built-in functions of these applications, an attacker can then launch additional programs. For an attack to succeed, the attacker must leave external applications running and know the specific PIN for the targeted Kioware instance. Moreover, they need to slow down the application to expand the usable time window.
