Summary

CVE-2024-33669 is a vulnerability affecting the Passbolt Browser Extension prior to version 4.6.2. This issue enables an attacker to observe multiple queries being sent to HaveIBeenPwned while a user types a password. As a result, the attacker can potentially obtain information to aid in brute force password attacks, posing a significant security risk. The vulnerability stems from the Passbolt extension's behavior of sending repeated queries to the Pwned Passwords API, making it easier for malicious observers to intercept and analyze sensitive information.
