Summary

CVE-2024-3342 is a critical SQL Injection vulnerability affecting the Timetable and Event Schedule plugin by MotoPress for WordPress. The issue lies in the 'mp-timetable' shortcode, where the 'events' attribute does not undergo sufficient escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious SQL queries. By appending SQL statements to existing queries, they can extract sensitive information from the database. Versions up to and including 2.4.11 are impacted. Users are advised to patch their installations as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
