Summary

CVE-2024-3293 is a vulnerability affecting the rtMedia plugin used in WordPress, BuddyPress, and bbPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject SQL queries through the rtmedia_gallery shortcode, due to insufficient escaping and preparation. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers can extract sensitive information from the database. This issue affects all versions up to and including 4.6.18.
