Summary

CVE-2024-32549 is a newly disclosed vulnerability that combines Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks against the Related Posts plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability, which affects versions from n/a through 4.0.3, allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into a targeted user's session, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data theft. The CSRF component enables the attacker to forge requests on behalf of the user, while the XSS vulnerability allows the execution of malicious scripts within the user's browser. WordPress users are advised to update to the latest version of the Related Posts plugin to mitigate this threat.
