Summary

CVE-2024-32472 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the open-source virtual hand-drawn style whiteboard, Excalidraw. The issue lies in its web embeddable component, which fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input when rendering it as an iframe's `srcdoc` or when sanitizing attribute HTML injection. This flaw allows attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript code into the context of the domain hosting the editor. The vulnerability is fixed in versions 0.17.6 and 0.16.4.
