Summary
CVE-2024-31952 is a vulnerability affecting Samsung Magician 8.0.0 on macOS. During the installation process, the use of symlinks allows an attacker, who already has user privileges, to manipulate file permissions and escalate privileges. The administrator password is required during installation, increasing the risk if it falls into the wrong hands.
