Summary
CVE-2024-31458 is a SQL injection vulnerability affecting the Cacti network monitoring tool before version 1.2.27. The issue lies in the `form_save()` function in `graph_template_inputs.php`, where input data is not sufficiently checked before being used to construct SQL statements in the `draw_nontemplated_fields_graph_item()` function in `lib/html_form_templates.php`. This allows malicious actors to inject SQL code, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data manipulation. Version 1.2.27 includes a patch to mitigate this vulnerability.
