Summary

CVE-2024-3072 is a vulnerability affecting the ACF Front End Editor plugin for WordPress. This issue stems from a missing capability check on the update_texts() function, present in all versions up to and including 2.0.2. As a result, authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access or higher can manipulate post titles, contents, and ACF data arbitrarily. This unauthorized modification poses a significant risk, particularly for sites with sensitive content. Update your ACF Front End Editor plugin as soon as possible to mitigate this vulnerability.
