Summary

CVE-2024-3012 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda FH1205 2.0.0.7(775) firmware. The issue lies within the GetParentControlInfo function of the /goform/GetParentControlInfo file. An attacker can exploit this stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability by manipulating the mac argument. The exploit can be initiated remotely, and the vulnerability has been publicly disclosed, increasing the risk of potential attacks. VDB-258298 is the identifier assigned to this vulnerability, and unfortunately, the vendor has not responded to early disclosure notifications.
