Summary

CVE-2024-29832 is a Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the GalleryBox action of WordPress' admin-ajax.php file. The current_url parameter within an AJAX call is the target, as it is incorporated into an existing JavaScript response. An attacker can inject arbitrary JavaScript code, which is executed when the page is loaded, requiring no authentication. Successful exploitation relies on the validity of other parameters within the AJAX call, such as image_id.
