Summary

CVE-2024-2977 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda F1203 2.0.1.6 router. The function formQuickIndex in the /goform/QuickIndex file contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability, which can be triggered by manipulating the PPPOEPassword argument. This issue allows remote attackers to exploit the vulnerability, making it a serious threat. Although the vendor was notified, no response was received, and an exploit for this vulnerability has been disclosed to the public.
