Summary

CVE-2024-2964 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Pocket News Generator plugin for WordPress. Versions up to 0.2.0 are susceptible to this issue. The flaw stems from the absence or incorrect implementation of nonce validation on the option_page() function, which allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate the plugin's settings through forged requests. An administrator's interaction, such as clicking a malicious link, is necessary for the attack to be successful.
