Summary
CVE-2024-29196 is a path traversal vulnerability affecting the phpMyFAQ open-source FAQ web application. This issue, which exists in the Attachments feature, enables admin users to upload malicious files to any location within the web root. This security flaw poses a serious risk, as it allows attackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or execute malicious code. Users are advised to update to version 3.2.6 to mitigate this vulnerability.
