Summary

CVE-2024-2898 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda AC7 router running version 15.03.06.44. The function fromSetRouteStatic in the SetStaticRouteCfg file contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability, which can be exploited by manipulating the argument list. This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, and the exploit for this vulnerability has been made public. The identifier VDB-257941 has been assigned to this vulnerability. Unfortunately, the vendor was not responsive when contacted regarding this disclosure.
