Summary

CVE-2024-2897 is a critical vulnerability affecting Tenda AC7 devices running software version 15.03.06.44. The issue lies in the formWriteFacMac function of the WriteFacMac goform. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the mac argument to execute os commands, which may lead to remote code execution. The vulnerability has been publicly disclosed, increasing the risk of exploitation. The identifier for this vulnerability is VDB-257940. Regrettably, the vendor was not responsive to early disclosures about this vulnerability.
