Summary

CVE-2024-2850 is a critical vulnerability affecting Tenda AC15 devices running firmware version 15.03.05.18. The issue lies in the saveParentControlInfo function of the /goform/saveParentControlInfo file. An attacker can exploit this stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability by manipulating the urls argument. The exploit can be launched remotely, making it a significant security risk. The vulnerability has been disclosed to the public, increasing the threat. VDB-257774 is the identifier assigned to this issue. Unfortunately, the vendor was not responsive when contacted about this disclosure.
