Summary

CVE-2024-28247 is a vulnerability affecting Pi-hole, a DNS sinkhole solution. Authenticated users can exploit this issue to read internal server files arbitrarily, as the application runs with privileged access. The vulnerability lies in the local file updating process. When updating from a file containing non-domain lines, five of these lines are inadvertently printed on the screen. This issue is resolved in version 5.18.
