Summary
CVE-2024-2824 is a critical vulnerability affecting Matthias-Wandel's jhead version 3.08. The issue lies in the PrintFormatNumber function of the file exif.c, resulting in a heap-based buffer overflow. This vulnerability allows for remote manipulation, and an exploit for it has been disclosed to the public. Users are strongly advised to update to a patched version to mitigate this risk.
