Summary

CVE-2024-28187 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting SOY CMS, an open-source content management system. Versions prior to 3.14.2 are susceptible to an OS Command Injection issue within the file upload feature, which can be exploited by administrators. Maliciously named files containing a semicolon can trigger the execution of arbitrary OS commands, specifically targeting the jpegoptim functionality. The vulnerability has been mitigated in version 3.14.2, and it is strongly recommended that users upgrade as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there are currently no known workarounds for this vulnerability.
