Summary

CVE-2024-2813 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting Tenda AC15 devices running firmware version 15.03.20_multi. The issue lies in the function form_fast_setting_wifi_set of the file /goform/fast_setting_wifi_set, where a stack-based buffer overflow can be triggered by manipulating the argument ssid. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to exploit the system, making it a significant security risk. The exploit for this vulnerability, identified as VDB-257668, has been made public, increasing the urgency for affected users to apply patches or updates as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the vendor was not responsive to early disclosures about this vulnerability.
