Summary

CVE-2024-28112 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions of Peering Manager, a BGP session management tool. The issue resides in the `name` attribute of AS or Platform in the routers detail page, making it susceptible to XSS attacks. Adversaries can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary JavaScript code with the permission of a victim. XSS attacks can lead to credential or login token theft. Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to version 1.8.3 to mitigate this risk, as there are currently no identified workarounds.
