Summary
CVE-2024-28108 is a vulnerability affecting the open-source FAQ web application, phpMyFAQ. This issue stems from insufficient validation on the `contentLink` parameter, allowing unauthenticated users to inject HTML code into pages. The impact of this vulnerability is amplified when new FAQs can be added by guests and if the admin fails to scrutinize the content of newly added FAQs. This security flaw is remedied in phpMyFAQ version 3.2.6.
