Summary

CVE-2024-28102 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting JWCrypto, a library used for implementing JWK, JWS, and JWE specifications in python-cryptography. Before version 1.5.6, malicious JWE Tokens with high compression ratios could be exploited by attackers, leading to excessive memory consumption and prolonged processing time on the server side. The latest release, version 1.5.6, addresses this issue by imposing a limit on the maximum token length, thereby mitigating the risk of such attacks.
