Summary

CVE-2024-2806 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability impacting Tenda AC15 routers running firmware versions 15.03.05.18 and 15.03.20_multi. The issue lies in the addWifiMacFilter function of the /goform/addWifiMacFilter file, where a stack-based buffer overflow can be triggered by manipulating the deviceId/deviceMac arguments. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely, and the exploit code has been made public, increasing the risk. Vendor disregard for the early disclosure adds to the concern.
