Summary
CVE-2024-28001 is a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Archetyped Favicon Rotator. This issue, which allows Reflected XSS, occurs due to improper neutralization of user inputs during web page generation. The vulnerability can be exploited to inject malicious scripts into a victim's web browser, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities. Affected versions of Favicon Rotator range from n/a to 1.2.10. Users are advised to update their software as soon as a patch becomes available to mitigate this risk.
