Summary

CVE-2024-2784 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the The Plus Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the Hover Card widget, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user-supplied attributes. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into pages. These scripts will execute every time an injected page is accessed, posing a significant security risk. Versions of the plugin up to, and including, 5.5.4 are known to be affected.
