Summary

CVE-2024-2771 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting the Contact Form Plugin by Fluent Forms used in Quiz, Survey, and Drag & Drop WP Form Builder for WordPress. In all versions up to 5.1.16, the plugin's REST API endpoint, /wp-json/fluentform/v1/managers, lacks a capability check. This oversight enables unauthenticated attackers to grant Fluent Form management permissions to any user, allowing them to access and modify plugin settings and delete manager accounts.
